wedding: { jenni + jason }

jenni and jason were so lovely and made of awesome on their big day! and their bridal party was a blast - totally fun and sweet people... jenni's sisters were the best; totally makes me wish i had a sister!

so j+j got married at the landmark theatre in tacoma... such a pretty space, and what a view!! it was a little cloudy, but the view was still amazing!

i had so much fun playing with the details at this wedding! i had to drop jenny gg off with jenni as she was getting ready, and they sent the rings with me to the theatre... i had so much time to play! it was awesome :) i love that jenny gg knows how much i love to rock the details, and i love that jenni trusted me enough to let me take the rings with me... i can imagine that might be a hard thing to let out of your sight!

wedding: { adrian + ana }

can i just tell you all how awesome and gorgeous the bathhouse at golden gardens is? well, i'm gonna. it's flippin' brilliant! all that hot weather we had felt like nothing... such an awesome cool breeze. it was amazing.

and, you know, the wedding was nice too ;)

honestly though, i fell in love with adrian and ana's colors... that bright green and pretty blue popped so well with the colors at the beach.

and without sounding too mushy and emo, the love and the passion that adrian and ana have for each other is so beautiful... i loved how willing they were to hug and kiss and be with each other. so sweet.

congratulations adrian and ana - it was awesome to be a part of your day :)



so remember how i was saying that the bathhouse was so awesome and cool... well the church where a+a were married... was NOT the coolest place ever. i hid out in the balcony to get some different shots, and jenny gg stayed down below. i was sweating sitting still... i have no idea how miss gg managed to stay standing, let alone work! i was so thankful to be at the beach later!

wedding: { marylee + derek }

what a perfect sunny day, and a perfect cool breeze, and a perfectly sweet couple.

marylee and derek got married on the skansonia ferry on an absolutely beautiful day! during that long hot heat wave a few weeks ago, jenny gg and i were lucky to catch a cool breeze off the water... so grateful for that!

you all know how i love my details right...? so "reason jenny's awesome" #237... i upgraded one of my cameras a few weeks ago and couldn't use my beloved macro lens anymore... it only fits the cropped sensor cameras, not the full frame. picture me, sad. but amidst the wedding craziness that accompanies all weddings, jenny gg was awesome enough to suggest that i borrow her lens after she had finished shooting a few details. thanks miss... it does my heart good to shoot the details. i owe you one... or 12 :) or maybe just a slurpee!

wedding: { alisa + brian }

i felt an immediate connection to alisa... probably because we share the same last name... there's no relation though. alisa's sweet as pie, and brian is super cute... and the two of them together are total cutie pies... was that too cheesy?

anyway... mr and mrs awesome tied the knot at the hollywood schoolhouse... and it was a GORGEOUS day... i got flare on more than one occasion. *squee!*


one of the great things about working with jenny is that she totally lets me get in and get my own photos... and you all know i LOVE the details. i think i might stroke out if i had to sit back and just watch... but jenny always lets me do my own thing after she's done. and i LOVE that no matter what we shoot and no matter what the space, we both walk away with photos that are uniquely our own. thanks jenny!

personal: { vacation }

it's been an insanely good and insanely busy summer... there's still about a month left before school officially starts, but next week begins the decent back into work mode. i'm still not sure how i feel about it... some days i'm excited to go back and start planning... excited for new faces and new lessons and new experiences... and other days, i'm kicking and screaming... not wanting to give up summer and the fun i've been having.

today i took a long drive up to some of my favorite places... we'll see where tomorrow takes me
